National Health IT Week Is Happening! October 5-9: How High Will Twitter Traffic Go?

National Health IT Week is this week, October 5-9. Lots is happening right here, in Washington, DC, where I live! But, as is the case in general, it increasingly doesn’t matter where things are, because everything is connected in a virtual sort of way.

Take a look at the following graphics (from Symplur). In the first I compare day-by-day Twitter traffic on the #NHITweek hashtag for 2012, 2013, and 2014. In the second I compare impressions, tweets, tweets per this and that, also for 2012, 2013, and 2014. I wonder how high 2015 will go?

Wow! Look what’s happening to impressions. Interesting to note that while tweets and participants approximately doubled from 2013 to 2014, impressions increased by almost a factor of eight.

There are lots of interesting events planned for both here in DC and also online. I’m looking forward to the gusher of informative, sometimes moving and sometimes entertaining tweets on the #NHITweek hashtag. As usual, I’ll be working the National Health IT workflow angle!

If you’re in town, tweet me!
