Of those three HIMSS winners, this is my favorite. Dr. Gonzales is in Chicago, he’s spoken at HIMSS. He’s got this quote; you can actually go to the URL here at ehr.bz/himssdavies2004. I’m working three and a half days a week, I used to work seven days a week, so now, it’s really made life much easier and the staff love it.” It’s really made life much easier and the staff loves it. How often do you see that being said about traditional EHR documentation systems? Look, he used to work seven days, now it’s just three and a half. He has doubled his productivity. This system has made him able to accomplish twice as much with the same amount of work or as much work with half as much effort. Whereas, traditional EHR documentation systems do the opposite, they often double the amount of work and make people stay late.
